State-of-the-Art Facilities
One of the key highlights of Garforth Pendas Badminton Club is our premier facility at the Garforth Leisure Centre. Thanks to a significant investment of £120,000 from BADMINTON England and partnership funding from Leeds City Council, our sports hall has been transformed into a state-of-the-art badminton centre.
Refurbished Five-Badminton Court Hall: Our club features a fully refurbished five-badminton court hall, ensuring you have ample space to enjoy the game.
State-of-the-Art Lighting: We've installed top-of-the-line lighting to provide optimal visibility during matches and practices.
Premium Flooring: Our courts feature top-quality flooring that minimizes impact on joints and enhances your playing experience.
Modern Changing Rooms: We've also revamped our sports hall changing rooms to ensure your comfort and convenience during your time at the club.
Club Nights and Membership
At Garforth Pendas Badminton Club, we meet every Monday from 20:00 to 22:00. Whether you're a seasoned player or a Newer player looking for a club, you're welcome to join us.
Our club operates on a term-based membership system, with three terms per year, at a cost dependent on the length of each term. If you're not sure about committing to a full term, you can drop in for a single night for £7.50, and if you decide to join later.
Competitive Spirit and Leagues
For those with a competitive spirit, we participate in various leagues, including the Leeds League Men's Division 2,4,5 and the Leeds mixed Division 1 as well as the Castleford League Division 1.
These leagues provide an excellent opportunity to test your skills against other players and represent the club in local competitions.
How to Find Us
Getting to Garforth Leisure Centre is a breeze. We're located at Ninelands Lane, Garforth, LS25 1NX. If you're coming from the A1/M1 link road, take junction 46 onto A63 to Garforth. Follow the road, passing through traffic lights and crossing a bridge. At the next set of traffic lights with the Crusader pub on your left and the fire station on your right, make a left turn.
The sports centre is less than a mile ahead on the right-hand side, just after the playing field on the left.
